Atlanta Housing's Homeownership Down Payment Assistance Program is designed to help increase home ownership opportunities for low-to-moderate income first-time home-buyers, which are those persons at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) as published by the U.S. Department of HUD. This is accomplished through community development support, partnerships, outreach initiatives, home-buyer education and subsidy assistance. Eligible candidates can receive up to $25,000 in subsidy assistance from Atlanta Housing. The Atlanta Housing’s Down Payment Assistance Program can be used in conjunction with down payment assistance funding from other sources or agencies.
